Immune boosters for nursing mothers

Derin is still miserable so last night was no good either. Plus my throat is also a bit sore now. So I decided to do something about it and compiled a list of immune boosters. As a breastfeeding mum, I always make sure that these do not interfere with my supply.
I was taking some of these religiously over the past years but this winter I have been a bit rubbish and the result is not so good. And the lack of sleep does not help either.
I hope this list will be a reminder for me and maybe some of you will also find it useful.

-Increasing the Vit-C intake
-Taking elderberry extract
-Drinking nettle tea
-Increasing the intake of  raw garlic
-Drinking hot lemonade with honey every day first thing in the morning
-Drinking plenty of water
-Cutting on dairy products

Anything else that you do? Would you like to share?

  1. I stopped breastfeeding at 6 months, but remember how important it was to drink lots and lots of water, it also helped with milk supply to I think.
Bit of excersise is good too, always found a brisk walk would perk me up.

    Hope you feel better soon,
