Although I have been quite keen to do marble painting with shaving foam, somehow we just couldn't get round to it. A few days ago my sister said they have done marble painting with her two-year old and then I saw it on Irresistable Ideas for play based learning. So today was the day :)
D. loves playing with shaving foam. She got really excited when I prepared the needed items:
Then she squirted some food coloring
and stirred it ~ this was great fun
Then she pressed a paper on the foam and voila!
She made quite a few pictures adding more colours every time and in the end the foam was like this and she said "look mummy, I made chocolate pudding" :)
Then we cleaned the tray and started again.This time the result was this:
Normally you are supposed to scrape off the excess foam with a brush but she didn't want to do that, which is perfectly okay.

Oh this looks fun! We've played with shaving foam before but never thought of adding food colouring. Will give it a go! :)
