Book sharing Monday:How to catch a star

We discovered this book two years ago and I am so glad we did.
I am absolutely in love with Oliver Jeffers' books. His stories and the illustrations are simple, yet beautiful.
This book tells the story of a boy who loves stars very much. He wishes he had a star of his own and there begins his adventure.
I wish all children could enter Jeffer's world and read his awesome books. Not only does my daughter enjoy his books but also I never tire of reading them ;)

From the book:

The boy tried to jump up and grab it.
But he could not jump high enough.
So very carefully,he climbed to the top of the tallest tree he could find.
But the star was still out of reach.

As you can see we are also in love with Oliver Jeffers and this book is one of our favourites as it was Esther's first ever story, chosen because her name means Star. I read it to her over and over in NICU x A great author of beautiful stories for young children (and their parents x )

  2. Your post got me teary eyed. Thanks for sharing.I am so happy that your twins found their way home. And it is so thoughtful of you to choose these books.I suppose both you and your parner found solace in reading them during such a difficult time.
Have you shared this with O.Jeffers?I am sure he would be very happy to hear about this.

  3. This looks beautiful. My DD is a bit old for this one now, but I have friends with younger babes and I love buying books as gifts. THanks for sharing.
