Book Sharing Monday:Some dogs do

This is a much loved book by Jez Alborough, great for children over 2 years old.
On the way to school one day, Sid is so full of happiness that he starts to fly. But no one believes him; dogs don't fly. Sid is so upset that no one believes him, until his dad lets him into an amazing secret: some dogs do!

The illustrations are beautiful, too. My 18 month old also loves looking at the pictures.
I love that this book gives the message that dreaming the impossible is perfectly okay and therefore reinforces self-belief.

Which books are you reading with your little ones these days?
I would love for you to share your books with us. Please check out this page for more information about Book Sharing Monday.

  1. That's an old favourite of ours too. Another book I love is Brontorina by James Howe http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7870217-brontorina. Brontorina the dinosaur would love to be a ballerina and she doesn't let her size get in the way.

  9. Thank you for the review. I just put it on hold at the library.

I keep forgetting to do the weekly book review because I think it's a wonderful idea. I linked up one of my old ones and I'll try to find a little time to add this into my schedule for the future
