Dancing raisins

This idea had been on my mind for a few months, this morning we finally got round to doing it.
As I was preparing the materials, Defne asked what we are going to do. She was very excited to hear that we would do an experiment. Lovely!

First, she transffered a few teaspoons of baking soda into each bowl.
And then added some vinegar (using a jug) and enjoyed watching the "explosion".

Then we added a few raisins and watched them dancing.
To observe what is happening with the raisins, we used a big glass.
(Sorry, not the nicest picture)

Then she enjoyed pretending to dance like the raisins in the fizzy water.

Happily shared with  Kids Get Crafty, It's Playtime ,We PlayPreschool Corner , Show and Tell link ups.

  1. Experiments are brilliant and your dancing raisins sounds just like that! I must do something like this with my son very soon. He would love it!
