Glob Paint Kit Review and Giveaway

Happy Friday! Today I am very happy to present you  Smiling like Sunshine sponsor The Little Green Paint Box.
The Little Green Paint Box is a company specialising on eco friendly arts and crafts. I am always on the look out for more natural products for my family but I had yet to find natural supplies for arts and crafts. This online company has some fabulous products like homemade crayons made with eco friendly soy wax and bees wax and coloured with natural minerals and homemade playdough made with organic ingredients.

Laura, the founder and owner of The Little Green Paint Box  kindly answered a few questions for us.
  • What inspired you to start your business?
I decided to set up my business after I searched the internet for  eco friendly water colour paper and paints to use when painting some pictures for my children’s rooms and couldn’t find a UK site. I started looking for an online company that could provide me with art and craft supplies, kits and activities suitable for my children. (This was particularly important for my youngest; I was a lot more worried about what she was putting in her mouth than when the older children were little – simply because I was more aware.) Again, I could not find a UK site that provided eco art and craft products in one place – I have since found one which sources eco toys and some art materials but it is not always clear how they fit the ‘green’ criteria. I realised if I had these frustrations, other 'green' parents would be feeling the same way, so decided to set up my own business sourcing the exact products  was trying to find.

  • Please tell us about some of your favorite products.
My favourite products on the site are Crayon rocks, simply because they fit perfectly into my little one's hands and are totally original. I also love the Kidzsacks - eco friendly bags which can be coloured in, washed and coloured again, and the 'Arm Bibs' - perfect when children have no idea what their elbows are doing. However, I believe in and love all of my products, and they have been selected because I use them with my own children.

  • What is your favorite children's book?
My favourite children's book is so hard to narrow down, we have so many loved books in our house. I do love 'Miki' by Stephen Mackey to read with my 2 year old and my older children still laugh at the book 'The Dog that Dug' by Jonathan Long, I used to read it to my God son 15 years ago, so that will always be a favourite too.

Laura has sent us a Glob Paint Kit to try out. The kit consists of  pots, two bamboo brushes and natural paints that are made from fruits, vegetables, flowers and spices with natural food-grade ingredients, these water-soluble pigments become paint just by adding water.
The pack contains 6 colours: Lemon Verbena, Blueberry, Pomegranate, Tangerine, Plum Purple and Basil Green
I love that it is all natural and non-toxic. They also smell lovely!

You can make a thicker finger paint by adding less water or if you add more water, you get paints like watercolours.

You can buy it from Laura's website for £9.50
