Defne started reception class two weeks ago. This month their theme is "ourselves". As part of their "homework" they were asked to do a self-portrait.
I asked Defne if she would like to draw a self-portrait looking at her image on the mirror and she loved the idea.
She didn't want to use any paint, only wanted to use the black pencil. The mirror I had put on the table has two little wings which Defne enjoyed playing with. Seeing images in different angles was great fun for her.
It's a shame I forgot to take the photo of her lovely picture before giving it to her teacher. It had big eyes and long eye-lashes :)

She looks so grown up and serious sitting there sketching. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a really lovely photo of her drawing, one to treasure.
ReplyDeleteAaah wonderful - the look of concentration! I think it is great to explore your own features and do a self portrait!
