Book Sharing Monday:The Ballet Class

Defne goes to ballet so I couldn't resist buying this book when I came across it at a charity shop.

The Ballet Class by Adele Gerais (illustrated by Shelagh McNicholas) is a lovely book with beautiful illustrations.
She likes reading about the ballet terms and figures she can relate to.

Do you know of any ballet books that your children like?

What have you been reading and enjoying with your children lately? I would love it if you come and share with us. Feel free to grab my button (on the right hand side) and share the love.

  1. We love ballet around our house. My daughter majored in dance. We like to read Barefoot Book of Dance Stories and Barefoot Book of Ballet Stories. Thanks for hosting!

  3. Oh, I'm so glad I stopped by today. Picture books about dance are my favorite! My daughter takes ballet, too, and we've read The Ballet Class and a few other ballet books by Adele Geras. I blog about picture books related to all kinds of dance, but here's a link to my posts with ballet themes:

  4. Hi, Isil! I thought I'd share a post related to yours. While I compiled this dance booklist awhile back, we are rereading these books now as we get excited about attending The Nutcracker. I have several favorites on the list. I will always love A Very Young Dancer, which I read a lot as a child. I also love Dance, Max, and all of the books about Tanya. -Amy

  5. We haven't read any ballet books yet!
But I believe the little girls would adore them, they love to dance.
