Book Sharing Monday:Giraffes can't dance

We have the pop up version of Giraffes can't Dance .
The  animals in the forest laugh at Gerald the Girafe because  "Girafes can't Dance" but Gerald learns from an unusual source that he can dance wonderfully when he can hear his own music. Actually, this story gets  me bit teary eyed. A fantastic story to help children learn that being different is okay and they can still excel if they know how to validate their feelings.

What have you been reading and enjoying with your children lately? I would love it if you come and share with us. Feel free to grab my button (on the right hand side) and share the love.

  1. Oh! I love Giraffes can't dance! We don't own it but we've gotten it from the library. I don't remember it being a pop up though. That sounds fun!

  2. I love books with this message! Thank you for sharing it. I'm adding it to my library list (although they don't have the popup version)

  3. This book sounds so sweet! We'll have to see if our library has a copy =)
