The Children's Bookshelf

I wrote about Rundherum in Meiner Stadt in February 2011. Both my kids, especially 2 year old Derin loves this book so much. I thought I would share this book once again with my new readers.

Rundherum in meiner Stadt by Ali Mitgusch is a picture book. I first heard about him when Perihan Magden,a Turkish writer wrote about how much she and her daughter liked his books.
It doesn't have any text. I like such books because it gives you the opportunity to talk about the pictures with your child. You can make up new stories together every single time.
This book is about city life.
The pictures are beautiful with loads of little details:

The Children's Bookshelf is co-hosted by What Do We Do All Day, No Twiddle Twaddle, Smiling like Sunshine, Mouse Grows Mouse Learns , Mommy and Me Book Club and My Little Bookcase.

  1. That does look like a wonderfully detailed visual depiction of what happens all around in a city. We like to take visual books like that one with us when we have to sit in a waiting room with our kids.

  2. This definitely looks like a book my kids would like!

Thank you so much for taking your time and leaving a comment!
